Taxonomy
Aetholix sp. 8 is an unnamed morphotype photographed by David Fischer in W. Malaysia at Fraser’s Hill. Generic placement very uncertain it may be a Phostria.
Description
A very dark purplish brown species lacking the orange speckled wing bases and white band on the HW usually present in Aetholix spp. Note the distinctive chequered fringes of the FW.
