Taxonomy

Sabah, PHS, Por 5. An unnamed Aglaopus species confined to but widely distributed in Sabah, near Striglina reversa (Warren, 1889:318) (not illustrated here). It is in the NHM (Mi7302) and several other collections.

Description

The species is a rich reddish brown. The reticulated pattern is evenly distributed. The FW has a diagonal median line and a parallel submarginal line across the apex. The HW has a similar line from the costa to the middle of the termen. The costa is dark. A pale yellow variety has also been seen. Where the FW veins reach the termen there are tiny darker spots.

Life History

This is probably the commonest thyridid captured at light in Danum Valley, Sabah.
