Description
A fairly distinctive morphotype despite, like all members of the A basinotata group, the wings have having similar extensive purple on the apical and central areas. The HW is mainly pale purple with the anal area some-what paler. The FW base is cream, speckled with an orange. Its subtermenal area is slightly paler purple than the median band. The post median transverse lines are not well defined. The discocellular area of the FW has a large patch of brown orange and white scales two other similar patches are present on the HW. The abdomen has cream and orange patches dorsally.
