Taxonomy
Agrotera sp. 8. An unnamed morphotype from Sabah; a male from DVFC in the SLS Coll. and a female in the Schulze Coll. from Sabah (PHS).
Description
A typical Agrotera morphotype with cream wing bases speckled with orange and the rest of the wings purple. Note the FW with a small orange discocellular spot and the serrate post median line which turns proximally just at the costa. A. posticalis Wileman, 1911 does not have a distinct reniform spot, only a dark ‘c’ shaped mark. The association between male and female is not proven. Schulze (2000) Taxon #561.
