Taxonomy
The male holotype of Ambia rhabdotalis Hampson, 1897: 161 from Amboina, is in the BMNH.
Description
Both wings are coarsely reticulated in fulvous orange and brown on a white background. The wing margins have series of marginal black points which pass into the cillia. Most obvious on the HW. Thorax and head fuscous. Abdomen fuscous with white banding. Schulze Taxon #666 specimen compared with specimens in BMNH is not conspecific and we list it as Ambia sp. 1.
