Description

Walker’s description (Walker 1865 [1866 Jan 13]) is fairly opaque and the plate in Moore [1888] is not of a high quality but Hampson (1896: 268) describes this blotchy patterned sp. pretty well:

Opalescent white. FW with traces of [an] antemedial line with suffused yellow patches on its outer side; a dark discocellular line with [a] suffused yellow patch beyond it; a submarginal slightly waved line bent outwards between veins 5 and 2 [media to cubitus], then retracted, the area beyond it fulvous yellow with a grey and fuscous band on it. HW with black speck at lower angle of cell, with some diffused yellow beyond it; an indistinct waved submarginal line bent outwards between veins 5 and 2 [media to cubitus], and with diffused yellow beyond it, then greyish white; a subapical fuscous patch and the margin [termen] yellow at apex.

Recorded by Moulton (1912) on Mount Serambu, Sarawak at Wallaces original collecting site.
