Sabah, Tambunan. Beguma sp. 6 is a medium sized unnamed specimen in the FRC insect collection, Sepilok (Drawer P20) from Sabah, Tambunan (VJR Rafflesia) and Maliau Basin, Sabah.
Description
The very pale bronze colours are more pronounced near the FW costa and apical area and the HW leading edge. The pink of another Sabah specimen from the Maliau Basin (Camel Trophy Camp c.1000m) in the SLS Coll. is slightly more uniform. See the very similar Beguma sp. 3 which has a slightly narrower FW.
Life History
One of the very few moths identified from the heath forest within the Maliau Basin in the south of Sabah. In life the Maliau Basin specimen was a rather brilliant uniform pink - a very striking moth
