Taxonomy
The holotype of Pyrausta ochracealis Walker, 1865 [1866 Jan 13]: 1446, is from Indonesia (Java). It is in the BMNH.

TL Ceylon [Sri Lanka] (Globiz).
This sp. is not well placed in Pyrausta Schrank, 1802 (Pyraustinae: Pyraustini as in the LepIndex & Globiz). Generic placement uncertain, but here temporarily placed in Botyodes Guenée 1854 pending further investigation.

Description
A fulvous sp. with darker brown markings. Note the submarginal lines of short dashes not seen in most other Botyodes spp. See Botyodes spp. 1 which is very similar and compare with Botyodes diniasalis (Walker). Another very similar morphotype was seen from Bangladesh (Sundarbans), but its HW lineation was slightly different.
Life History
Possibly feeds on Sweet Potato Ipomea batatas (Solanacea) leaves.
