Taxonomy
The holotype of Botys caldusalis Walker, 1859: 650-651 is from 'Hindustan'. Comb. n. to Caldubotys Singh et al. 2019 as the TS.
- syn. Sylepta kosemponis Strand, 1918: 53 TL Taiwan (Kosempo).
- Syn. n. Shibuya (1927: 32).
Treated as Endocrossis by Wang & Speidel (2000: 238) but unfortunately Endocrossis Meyrick, 1889: 515 (TS Botyodes flavibasalis Moore, 1867: 96, TL Bismark Arch. (New Pomerania), was considered a junior subjective syn of Botyodes Guenée 1854. Hampson (1896) listed this sp. under Botyodes but under a separated section Endocrossis Meyrick.

Description
A distinctive bright orange sp. with speckled brown markings. Illustrated by Wang & Speidel (2000: 238) and in Inoue (1984, pl.39, fig. 65).
