Taxonomy
The holotype of Botys hisbonalis Walker, 1859: 707 is from Sarawak. The holotype #972 collected by A.R. Wallace, is in the Oxford U.M.N.H. comb. n. to Camptomastix Warren 1892: 439. Swinhoe (1906a: 286-287).

Description
A sp. with short, broad, shiny, predominantly, grey-brown wings. There is a distinctive blackish, serrate, post median line bordered with white on the FW after the midpoint this is withrawn proximally and becomes much fainter but continues towards the anterior wing margin. The FW cell has a small, round, white spot which may be indistinct. Both wings have some small dark neural spots and fringes are chequered. The HW is mainly obscure but some specimens from Australia, which are more chestnut brown coloured, have some diffuse darker blotches on the HW. Note the distinctive forward pointing palpi.
