Taxonomy
The holotype of Catagella adoceta Common, 1960: 338, pl. 2, fig. 4, 5. TL Australia, Queensland, 25 miles N. of Gin Gin. The male & female paratypes are in the BMNH.
Description
The males and females are very similar. The FW is chestnut brown, grey-brown proximally on the subcosta. There is a diffuse grey band extending diagonally from the apex until it ends at a similar band which extends up the middle of the wing from its base. The FW has three small dark spots spread along the anal vein. There is a fourth, more distinct, spot near the distal end of the FW cell. There are tiny dark neural punctae at the termen of the FW. The HW is almost entirely shining white.
