This small to medium sized species is a light reddish brown with an overall reticulate pattern in darker brown on the FW & HW. The FW has indistinct fasciation and a small white c-shaped apical spot. The HW has a narrow antemedian band. Note the long pale anal hair pencils of the male specimen illustrated.

Life History

Reported in a Theobroma cacao (Sterculiaceae) (cocoa) plantation as C. acutalis Walker (Conway, 1971). However the specimen, in drawer 115 of the collection at ARC Sabah (Tuaran), is not C. acutalis. Apart from feeding on cocoa, it has been reared on Macaranga (Euphorbiaceae) (RTS).
