Taxonomy
Holotype; India, Simla. The holotype of Rhodoneura subcostalis Hampson, [1893] 1892:362 from India (Simla) is in the NHM (Mi7358).
ms comb. n. to Collinsa (Shaffer, 1991 LepIndex).
Syn. Rhodoneura pralanis Swinhoe, 1895b:298 from India (Cherrapunji) is also in the NHM (Mi7358).
ms syn. Rhodoneura bacula (Chu & Wang, 1992) TL China (Yunnan), Chu & Wang (1992:230, 245, pl. 2 fig. 22.).
ms. syn. n. (Shaffer 1992; LepIndex).
Description
A pinkish-brown species with a very distinctive fasciation overlying a distinct reticulated pattern. There is great variation from the type in the definition of the darker patches and this series should be re-examined.
