Taxonomy

The lectotype of Araxes admigratella Walker 1863: 192, designated by Bleszynski, (1970d: 50), from Sri Lanka, is in the BMNH.

Description

The FW are pale greyish with an intricately mottled and lined darker patterning. like C. hastiferalis Walker, [1866] 1865: 1473. Bleszynski, (1970d) illustrates the genitalia (female fig. 8 and male, fig.12). This sp. is almost impossible to distinguish from its congeners in the Culladia admigratella group without detailed examination of the wing venation or genitalia. See Bleszynski, (1970d).
