Taxonomy
The holotype of Scirpophaga flava De Joannis, 1930 is from Vietnam (Hanoi, Tonkin). In LepIndex as Schoenobius Duponchel 1836 & Scirpophaga in Globiz. Not considered in Donacaula by (Lewvanich, 1981). MS transfer to Donacaula (Shaffer 1983 LepIndex card).
Description
Like all Donacaula species the females are larger than the males. The female is shining white tinged golden towards the FW apex. The anal scale tuft of is a golden yellow.
Life History
Probably feeds on Gramineae or Cyperaceae
