Taxonomy

Eschata sp. 2 an unnamed morphotype from W. Malaysia in the BMNH.

Description

A silvery white sp. similar to Eschata gelida Walker, 1856: 133, but with a reduced intensity of fasciation. The FW has a faint post median and sub-termenal lines and a small orange area on the costa near the FW apex. The termen has a few dark scale patches. The HW is mainly dark grey-black but the costa and the termen is white. The head & thorax are shining white but the abdomen is dark brown to fuvous brown. The fore tiba are white with orange-brown markings. See Eschata gelida.
