Taxonomy
Hoploscopa parvimacula Léger & Nuss, 2020: 20-22, Figs 7, 50, 91 & 94. The holotype from Malaysia, Sabah, Mesilau, logging site 400m before entrance to Mesilau, Nature Resort, 1930m is in the MfNH Berlin. There are 7 m and 2 f, paratypes.
Description
The FW is mottled with light and dark brown and a few larger pale cream patches. The HW is brownish grey. Very similar to Hoploscopa kinabaluensis Léger & Nuss, 2020 but differs subtly in the FW markings from either and has a darker HW. Illustrated by Léger & Nuss, 2020, Fig. 8, who also describe and illustrate the male and female genitalia. See Hoploscopa parvimacula Léger & Nuss, 2020, H. pangrangoensis Léger & Nuss, 2020 and H. sepanggi Léger & Nuss, 2020, which are also similar and best determined by genitalic examination.
