The holotype of Ebulia obliquata Moore 1888: 224 is from Sri Lanka.
- syn. Leucocraspeda nissoralis Swinhoe: 145 (Note in Oxford U.M. N.H. drawer and on LepIndex card)
Ebulea obliquata is present in the HSB, SLS & Schulze Colls. It may be a var of H. coenostolalis Snellen: 582. Treated as Anania Hübner, 1823: 27 in Globiz but here we placed it as Hyalobathra obliquata.
Description
This species closely resembles the ‘H. coenostolalis Snellen’ as illustrated by Wang & Speidel (2000: 287). However the distinct diagonal dark line on the FW from the middle of the costa towards the middle of the termen is not like a typical H. coenostolalis. Correctly identified in the HSB Coll. Schulze (2000) taxon #277.
