Taxonomy

Description
A species with a dark brown colouring with paler areas covered by a reticulated pattern. The falcate FW has a dark base and this extends along the costa. It has partial indistinct fascia in the outer FW. The HW is largely unmarked. It resembles Hypolamprus sp. 7, but lacks the diagonal line near the FW apex.
Similar Species
This is superficially similar to H. illustrata but lacks the coarse network of brown lines found in that species.
