Taxonomy
Imaged specimen from W. Malaysia, GTE. The holotype of Botys taphiusalis Walker, 1859d:720 from Sarawak is in the NHM (Mi7376) ms comb. n. to Hypolamprus (Shaffer, 1992 LepIndex).
Syn. Siculodes globulifera Pagenstecher, 1892 is from Borneo.

Description
A small species with a very striking reticulate, dark brown patterning. Some specimens differ in the size of various fenestrae although the overall distribution of these fenestrae is similar.
Similar Species
Could be confused with Picrostomastis inductalis(195) and Collinsa semiperforata(93). See also H. illustrata.
