The holotype of Asopia filalis Guenée, 1854: 204, is from New Guinea.

Description

A distinctive bright orange and yellow sp. with a purple submarginal band and a purple blotch near the FW cell. Isocentris ranges from Africa to Japan. Of the c.15 spp. there are two in S.E. Asia. RTS (1994: 180).
