Taxonomy
The male holotype of Lygomusotima stria Solis & Yen, 2004 is from Singapore (Bukit Timah Nature Preserve, Belukar). It is in the USNM.
Description
Thorax, patagium and tegulae white with some brown tipped scales. Wings mainly dark brown. FW with distinct narrow median and subtermenal lines the latter is dark brown, yellow distally. The wing margin is slightly incised or crenulate. Costa yellow between median and post median line. Three white submarginal patches; one, between R5 & M1, is triangular. Male genitalia with juxta as long as vinculum, bifurcated posteriorly less than half the length of the juxta. The female genitalia have a ductus bursae with sclerotised striae expanding in circumference anteriorly; corpus bursae rugose only slightly longer than the seventh segment. See Solis et al. Life History
The larvae feed on Lygodium microphyllum (Lygodiaceae). The early instars are skeletonisers, the later larvae consume whole fern fronds. The biology and life stages are also given in detail in Solis et al. (2004)
