Taxonomy

The male holotype of Hydrocampa fauculalis Walker, 1859: 962 is from Sarawak. The type No 973 collected by A.R. Wallace is in the Oxford UMNH.

Description

A small fulvous sp. with faint darker lineation and black spots on the veins on the wing termenae. There is a noticeable creamy white patch on the FW apex. The abdomen is fulvous and in the males relatively long and slightly ‘waisted’ a feature typical of the genus.
