Massepha sp. 1 an unnamed series in the Schulze Coll. & specimens in the SLS-Coll.
Description
This is a pale ochreous sp. strongly speckled with brown spots and small brown patches.Tthe pale brown is more marked towards the pointed wing apices. There is a series of neural spots on the termen. The FW apex is slightly pronounced with the termen excavate and slightly undulate. The HW termen is also slightly scalloped. Schulze (2000) Taxon #583; ‘Pyraustinae sp. 71’. Note the half rings on the FW costa which are seen in many Nacoleia spp. Similar to M. absolutalis Walker 1859: 489 and M. ohbai Yoshiyasu 1990: 151-154, which is slightly smaller.
