Description
A medium sized orange brown species speckled with darker spots. The FW has a large oval fenestra centrally with a smaller fenestra posterior to it. Similar in general appearance to M.admirandus and M. capillatus but the wings have much larger areas of pale orange colouration on the distal parts of the FW and centrally on the HW. The HW has only the remnants of a median fascia as spots at the margins, unlike the other species of Monodecus where it is nearly always complete.
