Taxonomy
The holotype of Botys dilucidalis Guérin-Méneville, [1832] 1829-1858 pl. 90, fig. 17 is from Java.

We treat it in Nymphicula.
Description
This species has typical Nymphicula patterning, mainly fulvous and white with some brown markings. Densely speckled brown scales occupies the centre of both wings, that of the HW is separated by a serrate subtermenal line from four, large but misformed eyespots, near the wing margin. It shares its general patterning with Nymphicula cataclystalis Hampson 1897: 166.
