Taxonomy
The male holotype of Oligostigma bilinealis Snellen, 1876: 190 (key), 196, pl. 8 figs 1a-c) from India is in the Transvaal Museum.

Comb. n. to Parapoynx (Yoshiyasu, 1985a).
Description
A common lowland sp. with horizontal brown white and fulvous markings on both wings and with pale submarginal and post median FW fasciae. The termenal areas are mainly orange with black marginal dashes on the HW. See Agassiz (1978) and Yoshiyasu (1985: 75) for full descriptions.
Life History
Now an uncommon worldwide adventive with water plants. Minor pest?
