Taxonomy

W. Malaysia, GTE. Pharambara sp. 2 is an unnamed series in the NHM (Mi7369) which may be a variant of Pharambara sp. 1 above. There are also specimens in the Schulze Coll. (morphotype T38).

Description

A light reddish brown species with an overall reticulate pattern and few other markings. The HW has a small dark line near the inner margin and large dark brown spot near the frontal margin. In some specimens the HW blotches can be very large and distinctive or barely noticeable.

Similar Species

Note the small spots along the midline of the FW. Pharambara sp. 1 is very similar but lacks the large well defined HW blotch.
