Taxonomy

Sumatra. Picrostomastis sp. 4 is near P. curiosa, it is a single unnamed female specimen in the NHM.

Description

Female, 54mm. This species has a falcate FW and few markings except for a single diagonal pale brown narrow fascia traversing the HW and continuing on the dorsal part of the FW.

Similar Species

It differs from the female paratype of P. curiosa (see Plate 6, Fig. 196) in the shape of the partial postmedian fascia near the inner margin of the FW and the less distinct patterning and shading. There are also minor differences in the the HW submarginal fascia. See also Picrostomastis sp.3.
