Taxonomy
The paratype of Placosaris bornealis Munroe & Mutuura, 1970, from Sarawak (Baram District) is in the BMNH.
Description
The dark brown FW is fairly narrow and short with an arched costa and a fairly square termen. On the FW are traces of a discocellular patch and an orbicular dot. There is a distinct straight postmedial line running from the posterior margin and then angling acutely inwards for a short distance when it turns at right angles to the costa. HW is a paler brown and generally unmarked except for a partial postmedial line. See Munroe & Mutuura (1970) for further description.
