Taxonomy
The male holotype of Placosaris perakalis Munroe & Mutuura 1970: 1501-1503, figs. 9, 20, from W. Malaysia (Perak) is in the BMNH.
Description
A pink-brown species. The FW is lightly marked with an intermittent post median line mainly visible as darker spots on the veins and a serrate basal line.The HW also has an intermittent post median line mainly visible as darker spots on the anterior veins. There is a crescentic orbicular mark. Munroe & Mutuura 1970 give illustration of the male genitalia. No Bornean specimens of this sp. have been seen. Many Placosaris spp. look very similar.
