Taxonomy

The holotype of Crambus parallelus Zeller, 1867: 389, pl. 2, fig. 1 is from India (Sikkim) (Globiz) alternatively [Meghalaya] (Khasis) (LepIndex).

Description

The FW is distinctively marked in brown grey and white with angled median and post-median faciae. The FW termenae have a double dark marginal line, the proximal side being discontinuous. The HW is creamy white. Pseudargyria sp. 1 is very similar but more boldly marked. Note the typical crambine palpi. Illustrated in RTS (Pl. 27, fig.9).
