Taxonomy
The female holotype of Calamochrous sarcalis Hampson, 1908 (584, Plate E., fig. 37) from Sri Lanka (Kandy) is in the BMNH.
Description
Female: head, thorax and abdomen ochreous, the ventral surface, the sides of frons and the antennae, white. FW fleshy ochreous, the veins finely streaked with brown, the inter-neural spaces of terminal area with fine brown streaks and red-brown cilia. One indiscal fold rather prominent; the costal edge is white. HW golden-yellow, with white tipped cilia. (Hampson, 1908). Note the rather long, square-ended abdomen of the female.
