Scoparia? sp. 4

Taxonomy

Scoparia sp. 4. A single unnamed specimen from Sabah (PHS) in the Schulze-Coll. [Hauser specimen #4072].

Note Eudonia Billberg 1820: 93 & Scoparia Haworth, [1811]: 498 have few distinctive genitalic and (other) features to separate them (Svensson 1992). Here we deal with unnamed specimens of both genera under Scoparia as a ‘lumping’ for convenience to compare very similar spp.

Description

A pale greyish brown sp.. FW with typical scopariine patterning and a pale curving postmedian line. The HW is pale grey. Schulze (2000) taxon #897.

Similar to the European Scoparia subfusca.
