Taxonomy
Bacotoma sp. 13 is an unnamed sp. from PHS in the Schulze Coll.
Description
The soft purple-brown and yellow colours of this sp. resemble some of the Parbokla spp. in the Phryganodes diffusimarginalis group. Here it is placed with the ‘Old World’ Syngamia group of Bacotoma Moore [1885] in consideration of the black and white markings at the tip of the orange abdomen and the distinctive postmedian and antemedian lines on the wings.
