Taxonomy
The holotype of Botys ciniferalis Walker, 1865 [1866 Jan 13] : 1417 from PNG is in the UM Oxford.

Description
An almost totally unmarked pink-brown species with broad rounded wings and a silky sheen. Similar to Glauconoe deductalis (Walker, 1859). In LepIndex & Globiz as Pyrausta.
