Taxonomy
Pyrausta euryphaea Meyrick, 1932: 318; n.n.f. for Botys signatalis Walker, 1865 [1866]: 1444, (preocc. by Pyrausta signatalis Walker, 1865 [1866]: 1282.
- syn. Botys signatalis Walker, 1865 [1866]: 1444) [a secondary junior homonym of Rhodaria signatalis Walker, 1865 [1866]: 1282)].

The male lectotype chosen by Munroe et al. 1985: 79 from W. Java (Megamendoeng), is in the RMNH, Leiden.
Treated in Pyrausta in Globiz but the generic placement is uncertain and here it is provisionally treated in Botyodes, and treated in the Spilomelinae.
Rose & Pajni (1979: 4) erected of a new genus Rattana with P. euryphaea Meyrick 1932 as the TS. This genus is a junior objective syn. of Sciorista Warren, 1890: 475. (Fletcher & Nye, 1984: 133).
Description
This yellow and brown moth is very similar to Botyodes diniasalis (Walker 1859).
Note that it aso resembles some forms of Uresiphita. marginalis adipalis (Warren, 1896) and some other Uresiphita spp. such as Ategumia [Botys] fatualis (Lederer, 1863: 376, 475, pl. 11 fig. 15). See Botyodes diniasalis which is very similar.
